As a special feature of the tea tastings we are doing in Paralelní Polis in Prague, we are planning to publish our notes concerning the events: the information given at the tasting itself, to recap, and information that we didn’t have time for, to give you the big picture.
Where are the fresh Assam teas from.
We have brought two leaf Assam teas from August season. One from Nonaipara, that neighbours with Bhutan, and the other one from Koilamari Tea Estate. Assam teas are produced in two typical ways: orthodox and ctc. Orthodox method is for producing leaf teas and ctc means crushing – tearing – curling…
Tea Cupping at Paralelní Polis
With a new school year we start again with our cycle of tea cupping in Paralelní Polis. In an industrial beauty of Bitcoin Coffee, located in Holešovice, we will regularly meet every month over cups of delicious tea.
New season of Farm Markets
The Summer holidays are over and with colder days you will again meet us at Náplavka and Kulaťák Farm Markets in Prague. We will start from October. But in case you really miss us, you can visit at at Jiřák Farm Market on this Saturday. We are looking forward! Your Klasek Tea team.
Summer Jungpana – Batch II.
We were so impressed by this year’s summer flushes from Darjeeling… We tasted a number of beautifully processed samples with balanced tastes. In the past couple of years we have got used to a great variety of Nepalese teas – and now it seems that we can expect something similar also in Darjeeling.
Twenty-year-old archive Taiwan teas
We have the pleasure to bring your attention to two rare items we brought from our trip around Taiwan this year. The archiving of Chinese teas, such as pu-erh, is a well-known phenomenon. You can see ten-, twenty- or even fifty-year old archive pu-erh – and pay astronomical amounts for them. The archiving of Taiwan teas is less known. Usually you see archive teas of the oolong type, somewhat more rare are black and red teas.

Just a day after my arrival I and my friends take a trip to the mountains. Although there are showers on our way there, the weather calms later and we enjoy the sight of the mountains appearing from the mist and clouds.
