This article is a summary of many rounds of tea degustations we got through to select and choose the best of fresh teas from Darjeeling and Nepal. Wa have tasted the first Darjeelings in middle of March at the moment the embargo was still happening. The FF export embargo was luckily ended at the end of March. The tea samples from Nepal came a bit later and next are on the way. The nepalese season always starts a bit later than in Darjeeling.
From so calles Early First Flush we tasted tea samples from these tea estates: Longview, North Tukvar and Glenburn. It was not full FF character in them, nevertheles the tea were fine and we were happy – the spring finally arrived!
In next tasting rounds we tried samples from Goomtee, Tukdah, Phoobsering, Marybong, Tumsong, Bannockburn, Lingia and Ging. Finally we chose and ordered the DJ Goomtee 09/11, DJ Tukdah 03/11 and DJ Phoobsering 02/11.
